Part 4. I didn't wanna write a long title, but now I did anyway...

Then as you might have heard, we went to North Carolina, and A Place in the Heart. There Paulie got sick, and I ventured off for some adventures on my own. This picture is taken as I crossed the road on the way back to my sick buddy, he's sleeping in the room on the bottom left of that house. Can you see him?

Then one day, the team finally decided, after I had suggested it for two weeks, to go to New York. And after several tries, they finally got to it, and we went. But that is a completely different story. I can't spoil your eyes all in one day..

Peace out.

The amazing adventure continues. Part three!

I found out that the water in Pennsylvania is much harder to swim in, and also much whiter than what I'm used to, and I'm guessing it is because of the lack of salt...

One time, the team left me on this sidewalk, you can see one of their cars on the right. The silver Honda.

But then they found out they had left me there, and came back, begging for forgiveness and took me out to ice cream after that. And of course I ordered more ice cream than my little tummy could handle, but, I was like whatever, because Jordan bought it for me. Thank you, Jordan!

Then one of the nights, both Erlend and Jay were gone, still to this day I don't know where they went, but, anyway, I had to fill in for them, running both the lights and the big screen. But to use the words of a friend of mine: It was SWEET, no problem.

Peace out!

The amazing adventures of Fred the Turtle part 2

I'll start off where I left you last time:
I joined Jordan in picking up the rest of the team in the airport, the big one called JFK, and they were all so happy to see me!

Peace out!

Arrived

In case you don’t wanna read any further, at least know that I arrived in Norway, and in Skien, safe and sound, although with a minimum of sleep the previous 30-some hours.

The plane ride went well, or, first the Stoltzfuses all gave me a ride to the airport, prayed for me and sent me off into the departure hall. Then, after a meal consisting of lo mein, and lo mein only, I went to the security check, and sat in the gate area for almost two hours... The rush traffic of New York is not too predictable, or, we probably came before it really hit, I believe.

Then, after listening to John Davis self titled album, which really rocks by the way, we boarded and took off. I sat next to this German dude who was really cool, but I didn’t get his name, so that kinda sucked.

To explain how tired I was, I’ll tell you this. One movie I really have wanted to watch these last months, is the movie about Johnny Cash: Walk the Line. Well, guess what movie they showed on the plane? And guess who fell asleep during the movie? If your guess was sleeping beauty, well, thank you...

Sleeping didn’t last very long, but when I woke, the huge turbulence was over, and so was the movie. Bummed. My eating pattern got really messed up during this plane trip, more so than before. I don’t even now know when I ate and how long it was between my desperate Quaker-bar bites trying to silence my hunger. And the airplane food on the way to the US was much better, I tell you. So the conclusion is: Bring your mom’s pack lunch, and save it for the trip home.

Well, now I am back in Skien, and last night I even won a prize, together with Ekki, one of the dts-students here. We won for doing the funniest miming to the Børud-song “Du løfter meg opp”. It was really good seeing all my Skien friends again, having been away for four weeks.

Well that ends it for now, but feel free checking back, as Fred also has things he’d like to share with y’all. (He’s been to the South you see...)

Thank you and good night.

Leaving on a Jet Plane, again.

This is my last night with the Stoltzfus family in Pennsylvania, it's been a relaxing an good week, catching up with an old friend, sleeping in and meeting other friends as well, in Philly, for instance...

I'll try to post more details about the tour and everything later, when I'm back in Skien where my pictures are. That will be Tuesday night. I am leaving from JFK Monday night, and will fly through the night, and arrive in Oslo at about 13:00. Hopefully, I'll have gotten some sleep by then, and will be rested to continue my journey south. Please pray that the flights will be smooth and that I'll be able to sleep!

That was my short "leaving the US in less than 24 hours"-update, more will come to you who are waiting patiently.

And, Yes, I did more than just standing on stage, and, yes, God made me able to sing and perform on stage that night even though I was sick. He is faithful. And if we trust him, he will give us strength!

Trust him, he is.
